I entered grad school to be an SLP and pws. I went in with all David Burns "cognitive distortions" (i.e., mindreading, black/white thinking, personalization) and have great anxiety about stuttering as an SLP. Glad to report I have recovered since then. Applying healthy humor around stuttering is hard to get pws to do. Do you have any recommendations for pws 'getting their feet wet' in making light of stuttering. In many cases the meaning they attach to it ends up being to problem.
