I am a first year graduate student at the UW-Stevens Point, so I know frustration like anyone else. I enjoy graduate school and cannot wait to get out there into the field and finally do my job; but sometimes it gets hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes it can be difficult to enjoy life when you are up to your elbows in school work, projects, reading, writing, clinic, paperwork, and therapy plans. However, if we can’t be happy now, we won’t be happy later when everything is as you say, perfect. "The past is history. The future is a mystery. Now is a gift. That's why it's called The Present." I really like this quote because it truly encompasses that “live in the moment” attitude we should all possess, but we rarely do. I lived my undergrad experience high on stress and I knew it was only going to get worse in grad school. But now that I am here I don’t want to waste my time being stressed out. I have to think positive and know that one day I will graduate, get certified and get the job that I have always wanted. Why stress? Why not live happily ever after? Though I do not stutter, I believe your insight to be helpful to those that do (and don’t for that matter). You have some helpful words to live by and it was a pleasure to read your fairytale!!
