Thanks for your kind words. I stuttering a gift? Or being red-haired? Or being in a wheel chair? We might not like it, but we might as well make the best of it and at least try and see the positive sides. We have a problem speaking but do it anyway, which shows strength. We have problems related to our stuttering, but sometimes we can use it. (As long as we don't blame everything in our lives to our stutter!) We choose our words which makes what we say worth listening to and when we speak, people have to pay attention. Interpreters like me, as they can interpret every single word I say instead of having a fluent speaker who speaks way to fast. Not many people stutter, which makes is special. We had a children camp last week and I told them that they are so lucky: most kids have a birthday and Christmas to look forward to. People who stutter have one more day! The ISAD. I tell them "On that day I get breakfast in bed, get a cake and go to the movies". The look on their faces is priceless. But so true. Make this day a celebration. Give yourself/yuor daughter a treat. Stuttering sucks. Life doesn't. (And remember, stutterers are better lovers, as they prolongue and repeat, but don't tell your daughter that.) Hope to see you in Dublin 18 October! Happy ISAD! Anita
