I understand that much of this material is personal opinion but I have just as much problem considering my stuttering as a gift as I do my blindness or my hearing loss. I know that a good friend does not consider his being in a wheel chair a gift and one of my other friends does not consider her depression a gift. The gift is not in the stuttering, it is in the opportunities we allow it to make for us.
