hey! love the podcast. as a 23 yr old stutter, there have definitely been times where i wished i didnt stutter. however, i completely agree that my stuttering is a gift! because of my Christian faith, i fully believe God created me with a stutter for a certain reason. i do not know what this reason is, and perhaps i will never know, but i feel blessed to be a part of God's Master Plan. because of my speech, i believe i am continuously becoming a stronger, more confident, more compassionate, more patient :), person. i have learned the power of words, but more than that, how important communication is. as a special education teacher (with many of my students being non-verbal) i understand and appreciate my students' attempts at communicating with me. together, with my stuttering and my students' use of communication devices, pecs, and sign language, we are on a mission to teach the other students (and teachers) in our elementary school lessons on patience, listening, tolerance, and acceptance (to name a few). my stuttering is a gift, and i would not trade it for anything (or take a magic pill to get rid of it). thank you guys for all the hard work and insight of stuttertalk!
