Hi Alan, You are absolutely right. Stuttering is universal. Van Riper wrote a wonderful chapter on this subject in 1971. You did not ask about data, but, in every society where objective observation has been reported, to my knowledge stuttering has been found to exist. There are a few places where the prevalence seems higher than in other places, but we must await better epidemiologic data on more specifics. Of course, we are attempting to make self-help available for Turkish speakers, other fledgling country organizations might wish to emulate our model. If you would like to select the most essential 2-3 pages of one or two of your most well known papers and make them available in Turkish, we would be happy to arrange to translate them and put them on the website. Alternatively, if the paper(s) is/are on the web, we can ask if the webmaster/webmistress would like to put a link to a Turkish version on their website. Thanks for your kind words. Kind regards, Ken
