John, Thanks for your gracious reply. I would agree that knowing the extent of anxiety would help determine the treatment "threshold" of pws by SLPs. What diagnostic measure do you use? Also SAD is significant in the concomitant issue since it may well be a result of anxiety about another primary disorder, and because it may lead or at least contribute to stuttering. In my view the link between SAD and stuttering needs more exploration if we are to make sense of current difficulties with stuttering definitions, diagnosis and management. Do you agree?
