John, Your therapy approach seems most sensible. I also appreciate your open mind to the possibility of improvement. To answer your question: SLPs could screen for SAD with self report measures such as Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale (LSAS-self report) and the Social Anxiety Scale for Children-Revised (SASC-R) and its parallel version for adolescents (SASC-A). My interest in SAD was originally stimulated by Larry Molt's 2003 online paper. My questions to you, Walt Manning and Sue Block are (shameless!) attempts to interest leading SLPs in the ideas expressed in my paper in this conference. Best wishes, Mark
