Agata, I am sorry for the misunderstanding. I did not mean to imply that I use one specific program with any one disorder group (Program X is just used as an example of ANY program...not one in specific). I believe that good intervention treats the symptoms shown by a particular individual. As you well know, two Asperger clients can be as different as night and day. It reminds me of a saying that neurologists used when I worked at a brain injury unit years ago. They used to say, "Once you've seen one brain injured client......you've seen one brain injured client". They are all so different! Each one is unique, and this is the case with any human condition. The point that we tried to make with this paper is that there are many concomitant disorders with stuttering. Be aware of them, but treat each person according to their individual symptoms.
