Patty, Great paper. It made me think wistfully how things could have been had that been my experience as a young child. I was 5 when I started stuttering. Unfortunatly, my father yelled at me a lot for stuttering, making it worse and shameful. Those early negative experiences drove me to be intensely covert. Obviously I cannot change the past, all I or anyone can do is look to the future. I think knowing that there is so much available to young kids and thier parents, is helpful for me as an adult who is recovering from negative experiences with stuttering. The kids you work with are lucky! Thanks again! --Pam
