This is such a great paper! I read it and it was almost as though my thoughts were pulled in to line for me. I couldn't agree with it more either as a therapist or as someone who stutterers. As I read this it reminded me of Meniere's disease which has no cure and we don't even understand its cause. In either case, doing nothing will almost certainly get us a net gain of zero so doing something (even if its wrong) is a plus. When you don't actually know all of the whys of a condition you can't say that any idea wont work no matter how seemingly strange or pointless.
