Many thanks, Alan, for your kind remarks. Negative self-talk can be so poisonous, and Lord knows I did my share of it before I began to get my head on straight. As you say, "It is so important to become your own best friend" (Hope I got that right.) I wonder where you live in Wales. I read Richard Llewellyn's novel, "How Green Was My Valley", and saw the movie. I've always loved the singing of Welsh choirs. A Welsh friend, H. Gwynne Jones, once sent me a Welsh grammar, but it was tough. Where did all those vowels go? A lovely song is "Ar Hyd y Nos" (All Through the Night) sung and played on the harp.
