Hi Dave, I thought your article was full of wisdom as well as encouragement. It is true that no matter what kind of ailment a person suffers from, we tend to seek out the quickest, most "magical" cure possible. As a person who doesn't stutter, I find myself falling into this same trap. With all of the speedy pills that knock out a cold before it happens, who wouldn't try? I thought your reflections on all the different therapies was inspiring and uplifting. I agree with you when you say that they won't work for all, but they will work for someone. This is center of the hope and faith it takes to continue on with therapy and treatment for many individuals. As a future SLP, I hope to carry these principles and beliefs with me, even when discouraged. Thank you for your insight.
