David, I enjoyed your article. What are your feelings about the progression of young disfluent child to stutterers with secondary behaviors and a teacher/parents role in in exacerbating or focusing on typical disfluencies. Can a young child who has repetitions become a stutterer because of critical focus from parents or significant others? Does a young child know to focus on correct speech unless he has been told what he is doing is incorrect? Thanks Renee
