Good question, Cara! About all you can do is topatiently keep trying to 'educate' the parent yourself, using any available printed materials,and comments from other parents whose children have had successful therapy experiences. Also enlist the aid of any professionals in your area trained in stuttering therapy whom the resistant parent will respect. It is vital that the parent understand why it is important that therapy begin as early as possible. Good luck to you!
