I really enjoyed this particular article. Although you addressed the stutter, I read it as a therapist. Often times, we are bombarded with numerous evidenced-based techniques that have us doing mutiple "songs and dances" to create change. I can appreciate the thought of patience and acceptance. As a therapist, we have to be willing to be patient and accepting of our clients for who they are and what they are dealing with. This article was a refesher on that. I will take from this article to be willing to be patient as my students undergo change in their behavior. Sometimes, it is good to pause and approach therapy for the client's point of view. We miss that when we focus on time factors and because we desire to see evidence of change. Great article.
