Yes, there is, Catherine! I was trained at the U. of Iowa under Wendell Johnson and with much Van Riper influence (and Joe Sheehan). Also, Oliver Bloodstein and I were colleagues. So you can see where this is leading! Not only did I use and prefer these "anti-anxiety, stuttering modification" approaches, but my own stuttering problem was eventually eliminated by this kind of therapy. So I must admit, I'm somewhat biased in its favor! Hope this answers your question.
