Hi, I really enjoyed reading your article. I agree that terms, such as too slow and too fast are too ambiguous for young children to understand. I love the idea of using the term “just right.” I have an articulation client and I am focusing on “slow, careful speech" because her speech rate is so fast she can be unintelligible at times, so I might try this with her. Regarding your results, do you see a significant difference when you do not use this technique and when you do use it do you involve the parents and teach the parents this technique?
