This article really helped put an abstract concept into more concrete terms for me. Thank you! This is especially helpful being a new student who will be starting in-house clinic next semester. This strategy seems like a practical way to explain slowing speaking rate and reduced tension to preschool and school-age kids and I feel as if I could adapt in so many different ways to help kids understand the concepts. I also like the way you compared it to the concept of correct and incorrect sound production in articulation therapy - helped me understand the concept more clearly. Thanks!
