Thanks for the helpful article. I am a Grad student, working towards becoming a SLP. I am currently working with a three year old, who I see for fluency. He is wonderful to work with, and does great in the structured activities of the therapy session. He is using slow speech at the sentence level. I noticed that outside the session (ex: telling mom about activities, providing information) he talks quickly, and his fluency decreases. His mom is great and works with him outside the sessions. Do you have any additional ideas that could help with generalization of slow speech? Thanks so much.
