Thank you for such an informative article! I knew that in many countries speech pathology was still an emerging field but I did not realize the lack of stuttering awareness, especially within the school systems. With the limited amount of speech pathologists in Kuwait and the difficulty defining exactly what stuttering is; it is no surprise that the teachers would be uncomfortable dealing with a student who stuttered. Are there are any programs being planned to educate the teachers in Kuwait? If so, what will these programs include? I am very interested in this subject and would be interested to find out if similar studies have been done in other countries.
