Thanks Melyssa for sharing your reflections. Interestingly an anecdote comes to mind as I read your note. While distributing the surveys at one of the schools, one of our assistants was approached by a male Kuwaiti teacher who said "What? A Stuttering survey! Where have you been all this time? I am a stutterer and could use your help!" Most teachers would welcome inservice training in Stuttering and other communication disorders. However, the shortage in clinicians is a huddle. We have faith that this idea will materialize now that Kuwait has a communication disorders program at the university in addition to actively sponsoring students to pursue CSD degrees abroad.
