Thank you for sharing this paper. I find learning about different cultures to be very intriguing, and very beneficial to me as a future speech-language pathologist. I enjoyed learning about the views educators from Kuwait have on stuttering. I was particularly interested in the fact that 17% of teachers thought individuals should hide their stuttering, and that 81% believed psychological problems were the etiology of stuttering. This made me wonder if these responses reflect particular cultural beliefs about communicative disorders. If so, the way a speech-language pathologist approaches stuttering in Kuwait may center on this as the field develops.
