Your study was very enlightening. I surprised to learn that the results from your study showed that 99% of teachers surveyed would act as if nothing was wrong with the PWS speech; however, the experiences shared by those who stutter did not correlate with the finding. Do you think the attitudes and beliefs of the teachers will change the results once they have been educated on PWS? How do you think this will affect the students in the classroom? Your paper described situations in which PWS are cut off and rushed because of the time it takes to get their message across. Even going to the point where the student is asked to save their questions/comments for after class. If the majority of teachers believe the manifestation of stuttering is a result of psychological problems, it would make sense to why they also believe that they are incapable of leading normal lives and have lower academic standing. Hopefully education will change those beliefs to become more positive. Thank you for sharing!
