We are glad you are enjoying your fluency disorders course and have found this paper intriguing. As for your question, I would refer you to Heite's paper posted on ISAD (2000) entitled "Icelandic Teachers' Attitudes towards Stuttering and Classroom Decision Making." More recent studies on teachers' (in the U.S) attitudes towards PWS have shown a more positive trend(e.g., Irani & Gabel (2008) Schoolteachers' Attitudes Towards people who stutter. Canadian Journal of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, 32, 129-134) than earlier research(e.g., Yeakle , M. K., & Cooper, E. B. (1986). Teacher Perceptions of Stuttering. Journal of Fluency Disorders, 11, 345-359.) With more awareness, we are optimistic teachers in Kuwait will witness a positive shift as well.
