I wrote a letter to the editor of the Albany, NY Times Union newspaper applauding a story that was written last week about a 14-year old kid that tried out to be the public address announcer at his middle school. The kid stutters, and his school principal, teachers and staff all encouraged him to forge ahead with courage and confidence. I thought this was a great story and said that in the letter I wrote. The kid wasn't picked, but he now eyes trying student government. I also took the opportunity to mention that October 22 is International Stuttering Awareness Day. The letter was printed in today's edition!!
