Congratulations on over coming your fear of stuttering. As a future speech therapist I hope that you continue on your journey and it continues to help. I think what that teacher did to you in grade school was a cruel thing to do, even if you were not paying attention that punishment is extreme. If you have not done so already, I would hope that one day you will have the courage to stand up for yourself in all situations where people are cruel to you and other people who stutter. I would definately go and confront that teacher that did that to you show her what you have become and how you are proud of it.
