Hi Briguel, It was a pleasure to read your paper. You are very young, and have come to some very important realizations that most people around your age who stutter, have yet to do. In fact, many people much older than yourself continuously struggle with the same issues throughout their life. Congratulations on taking such a big step! I am a graduate student, studying Speech-Language Pathology at NYU. Many of the points you raised, such as losing self-confidence when stuttering, greatly tie into what I am learning in one of my classes. Thank you for sharing your insights; they will enrich my understanding of the effect that stuttering has on people who stutter. More importantly, your paper allows me to read about your journey in changing your thoughts on stuttering and the affect you allow it to have in your life. I was wondering what your ultimate goals are with stuttering? What else would you like to achieve, and how are you going about continuing to make changes in yourself, and your attitude toward stuttering? Again, thank you for your insights. You must be very proud of yourself!
