Hi Alan-- Congratulations on your fine article. To paraphrase a friend of mine: "I know it's brilliant because I agree with everything you've said." One sentence struck me as particularly basic: "Self-opinion is more influential than facts." You say much that shows great insight, and you say it exceptionally well. For many years I was hopelessly enmeshed in my stuttering problem until I began to change my self-image, whereupon I began to shed my erroneus beliefs and my stuttering behaviors. Today I am freer of my stuttering than I ever dreamed of becoming, and I revel in my self-confidence and fluency. All stutterers could profit by reading your article.
