Hi Dave, Can I assume that you are the same Dave Williams with whom I communicated during the 2008 ISAD Online Conference? If so, I must admit that I was most impressed with your insight into Welsh matters and your knowledge of our native language. Thank for your generous comments – it was kind of you to write in such a vein. I thoroughly enjoyed preparing the paper – I only wish that I had read something similar when I was younger. You wrote: “You say much that shows great insight, and you say it exceptionally well”. I greatly appreciate those sentiments because I had very little understanding of stuttering until 2000. The past nine years have certainly been an exciting adventure – I’m making up for lost time. :-) Several contributors to this threaded discussion have opined that the content of my paper is equally applicable to persons who do not stutter. I wholeheartedly agree. Our thoughts certainly run our lives. Mistaken beliefs can create a false view that prevents us from fulfilling our true potential. Diolch yn fawr :-) Kindest regards Alan
