Great article! Fear in general is a by product of one's negative expectations, and/or of reinforced negative experiences. As difficult as it may be to do so, it completely makes sense that its necessary to relinquish one's negatively ingrained self-image, in order to move positively forward in life. If you had always spoken with perfect fluency, you may never have become the accomplished public speaker you always dreamed of being. By being forced to step outside of your comfort zone, and to explore unfamiliar paths you were able to do so. This is not an experience that everyone is able to accomplish, because they aren't being forced to push past what they can accomplish.
