Hello Anita! I love that last sentence about what courage is. I am very fearful, yes. To me, when I am quiet, the people see me as a nice, warm person who smiles from her heart, who is easy to be with. And when I start to talk and then stutter, their perception changes for 180°. I am talking about new, unknown people, lat's say in some waiting room. Then if I have to talk, I can see the shine disappearing from their eyes. And I think: "There goes all my bonus." When I have to call on a phone, I always skip the greeting part because it's the hardest. And there goes my image in the listener's ears. I come off rude, and their voices change. You will say: "Why does it matter what others think?" To me, I see a reflection of myself in their eyes and it's impossible not to register.
