Anita Blom, I think that you are very courageous in sharing your fears about stuttering. Your story is very inspirational. I am a Graduate Speech-Language Pathology Clinician at West Virginia University and am gaining much knowledge about stuttering and how much of an impact it can have on a person. The major covert reaction to stuttering is fear in general, whether it is words, situations, people, etc. In class and clinic, we are learning that dealing with fear is a major component to fluency therapy. If you have any more advice on the subject, it would be great to hear about it! Thank you so much.
