Hi Cassie! Good to have you here, as this is the best place for non stutterers to understand what's on our minds. As said, sharing your fears makes it easier and you find out you're not alone feeling these fears. Knowledge about where the fear comes from and how you can work with fears is something you can help with. NLP and cognetiv therapy are great tools to work with fear. Fear is a problem for covert people, as they can hide their stutter and their fears instead of dealing with it. But also for noticable stutterers, as we cannot hide our stutter, so we hide ourselves instead. We need you to help us to deal with fearful situations and we need you to focus on the fact that life is so much more than stuttering, to focus on what we ARE good at and DO feel good about. To not only treat the technical part of stuttering, but also the emotional one. Maybe work not only with the stutterer, but also with the people around him/her, family or even friends. Good luck and thanks for your interest! Anita
