Hi Cassandra see my story presented in a previous conference at http://www.mnsu.edu/comdis/isad4/papers/bogdanov.html I was a covert stutterer, did generally well (as many PWS) in relaxed situations and with friends. So fear, which appears in "stressful situations" was very important and made me block. I still experience fear, but now I am aware of it and can let go of it. A buddhist saysing says: <Еverything that arises passes away<. Mindfullness training as a whole changes a whole lot of behaviours of the PWS to produce as a result a "fluent speaking hexagon", to talk in the terminology of John Harrison.
