Aida, I've thought a lot about any differences between stutterers and nonstutterers as clinicians. My graduate mentor felt that being a stutterer gave me some advantage as did being blind since I wasn't always "looking" at the stutterer. I think that it may make some difference in a stutterer being more comfortable with you but I think that the real key is how good the clinician is rather than if they stutter. It would make an interesting study to try and figure out if stutterers made better clinicians for stutterers but I tend to suspect that they generally dont simply because of a stutter.
