Hi Emily, I'm sorry for taking so long to respond. I have very little experience providing speech therapy for adults who stutter. I have not tried Audacity with an adult. I have a second part-time job (not in the field of speech therapy) that gives me lots of contact with adults. I thought about them as well as the few adult stutterers I've seen in my practice. I would predict that success using Audacity with an adult would depend on the individual. I would give it a try. My mother used to say "variety is the spice of life" and she was right. In my experience, adults present with a range of characteristics, just as children do. What I would say would be different is the length of time they have been stuttering, which could mean they have surface features and communication attitudes that were more resistent to change than childrens'. Maybe you will be able to learn more about this topic and share it in a forum such as this in the future. :) Thank you, Judy
