Hi Judy. You have a very innovative approach for using Audacity! I believe that in today's day and age, using technology is something children would find fun and exciting, especially visual learners such as myself. I think it's great that it can allow children to practice fluent speech, but in a context they enjoy that could help them prepare for a more difficult later experience. I'm very interested in working with children on the autism spectrum and I thought this might be affective for teaching children to visualize correct patterns of speech and repeat a clinician's statements to make their pattern look the same. Do you know of any research of Audacity used with autistic clients and what are your thoughts about using it in this context?
