Hi Bobby, What a great story. I am in my 40's, started stuttering at 5,and kept it hidden till 3 years ago. I had one year of speech therapy in 3rd grade which had no impact on my stuttering. The therapy I have had as an adult is similiar to yours. I have worked with graduate student SLPs. While I don't agree thast the clinician should treat the client and a friend, I do agree that the clinicians need to know us as whole people, not data,not statistics, not just a requirement to complete their degree. Your story is right on and honest. Thanks for sharing. I feel like I know you, since our stories are so similiar.
