Elizabeth: I didn't go back to speech therapy until I was 43 and had about 38 years worth of stuttering. It wasn't easy to say the least, but I decided to give it a shot. For an adult, speech therapy will always be more difficult because of the "baggage" we carry around with us. But at the same time, we also tend to be more willing to try new things if there is a chance it will help.
