Rudi: I still tend to avoid talking with people, but not quite as much. My wife and I attended the National Stuttering Association's annual convention in Scottsdale, AZ this July. I probably talked to more people at the convention in 4 days than I normally talk to in a year. Most of that though is due to my personality, in that I tend to be a "lone-wolf" anyway. My stuttering just made my "lone-wolf" persona more pronounced. It does drive my wife up the wall though as she is the type who will talk to anyone, anywhere.
