You've had quite a rocky road with your "lack of speech" experiences and your interactions with student SLPs. You obviously learned some good things from your clinicians, and in turn, you helped educate them with your opinions and advice. I'm glad your story had a happy ending, helped along by your "dry, warped sense of humor." A sense of humor of any degree can be the lubricant that helps the progress of a client-clinician relationship.
