Dear Bobby: What an amazing survivor of life you are! Thank you for sharing your story. It is hard to imagine that your family was so insensitive to your speech challenges. Of course, they were not thinking of you, but of themselves and their own fears of misperception. Congratulations on your graduation from college as an adult! I was an adult, too, when I received a BA and now I am anticipating being a speech therapist when I grow up! Are you continuing to encourage other PWS in your area to get out into the "real world" to grow through their difficulty by embracing it?
