Thank you for sharing your story. As an SLP student, I take your advice and will remember it for the future. I too believe that building a good relationship with a client makes it rewarding for both people. I was sad to read about your past and how you were treated by family members and clinicians. But I am happy to know that you have met clinicians who made you feel comfortable and that helped you. Again, thank you for sharing your story and such great advice.
