People like you, Bobby, who share their stories are they way that soon to be SLPs (like myself!) learn the real lessons we need to know for therapy. Currently I am in a Counseling class and as I read your story I was thinking of all the things I'm learning I wish someone would have been able to tell you when you were growing up to help your view of your stuttering. However there aren't any books we can read that hit home like a real-life story. I love that you saw improvment when you were working with student clinicians, because we are very nervous when we start working with clients! Thanks for sharing your story, Bobby. You are giving great advice to all sorts of new clinicians.
