Thank you for the very good question. This type of strategy may be used for children who stutter in the school setting or in other settings as well. Not all children who stutter experience difficulty with their stuttering when they read, but if it is a pertinent therapy goal then working on reading in this systematic way can be utilized across any work setting. It is recommended to use material that the child currently has to read orally, or any other material that is at the appropriate reading level that is meaningful to the child.
