Thanks, Jessica for the feedback. It is no more than a hierarchy, but using visual representation such as a diagram or drawing, makes it concrete for school-age children. As discussed in Chmela and Reardon, 2001, understanding cognitive development and applying the research and principles of various stages of development to how we present information to children may assist therapy progress.
