Thanks for sharing your approach to reading fluency. I was just wondering if the child is taught how to make his/her own visuals (i.e., how to indicate pauses and where to use easier and slower speech) in therapy. Are children often able to independently add their own visuals when given a new passage? Also, have you seen children progress from using color coding or slashes in their text to being able to mentally visualize when and where they need to modify their reading?
