Hi, The best resource to understand the fluency shaping method we are talking about is in the book Stuttering Therapy: Rationale and Procedures by Dr. Hugo Gregory. Also, I recently published a practical product by Super Duper called Fluency Flips: Quick Drills for Fluency Shaping Skills. While I recognize this is not the venue to discuss products, the Super Duper website does have examples of how the easy relaxed approach sounds in words, phrases, and at the sentence level. Also, the School-Age Stuttering Therapy tape by the Stuttering Foundation of America has a wonderful clip of June Campbell modeling easy relaxed approach. When teaching this, usually we start with vowels and tell children to bring their vocal cords together in an easy relaxed manner. Then we move to consonants and talk about light touches. Then we combine consonants and vowels, followed by words and phrases. We do not move on unless the child is successful in syllables, words, etc. If you go to my website at cslclinic.com you can always contact me and I am happy to help you.
