Hi Margo, I think these books should be viewed as another tool to target learning and generalization of the targets. I have never been a fan of "cookbook" approaches and this is certainly not going to teach the concept or generalize it by itself. However, when used with traditional therapy, it does seem to be very effective at helping the child gain a more concrete sense of the concept and generalize it a bit easier.
